Work began today on improving the infrastructure of the beach in Los Gigantes

The work is being carried out by company Dragados SA which have an estimated budget of 500,000 euros.

Anchors of between four and nine feet high are being set in the slope of the cliff which will support a special mesh which will be covered with cement.

Work is expected to take around 10 weeks which will see the beach open by Easter.
