This current spell of bad weather is set to last a few more days.

The Met Office has put out yet another weather warning. A yellow alert beginning at midnight tonight (Sunday), until midnight on Tuesday, forecasting winds gusting up to 85kph and possible up to 100kph in higher regions, for Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Palma.

Let’s hope it ends there and the sun shines again in time for the Christmas season.

mobile-phoneImportant press release from the Cabildo of Tenerife:

The Director General of Police and the Minister of the Interior have asked that as many people as possible are alerted to the following:

“Do not retrieve any mobiles that you may find, especially in Spanish cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Indiscriminate attacks are being prepared with detonators recently stolen from Grenoble by E.T.A.

Their modus operandi is to insert grams of dynamite in mobile telephones, key rings etc. that they then abandon in the streets.

They are sufficiently powerful to take off your hand.

Please alert as many people as possible, including the Red Cross.”
