A large haul of marijuana was intercepted shortly after it arrived by boat in the coastal town of El Médano. The haul is believed to have come from Morocco.
During searches of a number of properties in the area police uncovered 3000 euros in cash, night vision binoculars, GPS equipment and 20 mobile phones, all of which are thought to have been used in smuggling operations over the past year.

The identities of three men of different nationalities who have been detained have not been released. All three were remanded to Tenerife II prison.
