There is total chaos in Los Gigantes as the new pay to park system is introduced on Los Gigantes Marina.

Cars arriving at the marina are now stopped at the barrier.  It’s take a ticket to enter or reverse into the beach road to turn.  The many people who choose not to pay and need to turn around are causing traffic jams backed up to Tamara.

Those who choose to pay are charged €1.90 per hour.  Berth owners can purchase a monthly pass costing €55.

Locals who work on the marina are now taking up parking spaces elsewhere in the village much to the annoyance of business owners.

So those who used to park their car behind the hotel to enjoy a day at the oasis now find the only place they can get parked is on the marina at €1.90 per hour, unless they get there before 9am
