circusThe renowned Cirque Balagan Tenerife has chosen to make Tenerife its only production in Europe. The spectacular will take place in the theatre Guimár, between 20th and 25th November. Under the leadership of Mikhail “Misha” Matorin, the magic of this particular event lies in the fusion of circus legacy from countries such as Eastern Europe and the classic comedy dell ‘Arte, which will bring together some 30 gymnasts, jugglers, acrobats, trapeze artists, clowns and dancers.

The circus organisers of the show have detailed the new concept of modern circus, in which the choreography and the music takes on a critical importance in each of the 12 shows, which are 80 minutes in duration.

In fact, the renowned Russian composer Vasily Bogatyrev has developed an extensive repertoire of music and careful staging with performers from the United States, Russia, Ukraine, China and Poland.

The artistic team Cirque Balagan, which in Russian means “circus market,” has been closely linked with the ‘Circo del Sol’. So much so that the very ‘Matorin’ was, for several years one of the main stars of this company, which has developed one of the most acclaimed by viewers and international criticism.

The key to the success of Balagan, masterminded by Matorin, lies in an elaborate aesthetic and an unmistakable theatre style that serves as the backbone to the show; including displays of strength and skill of the acrobats and the subtlety of the dancers.

Tickets have already gone on sale, ranging between 25 and 30 euros for adults and 12 euros for children under 12 years.
