  • If you are looking for a good old english breakfast  try Ocean Drive Los Gigantes best one there. Well done Richard & Claire, many thanks.

As you walk or drive down into Los Gigantes you will find  Ocean Drive on the left just before you go down the hill to the marina. It's opposite Tamara restaurant.

  • I have eaten there once or twice but what puts me off is that often when I walk alongside there is a strong whiff from the drains - anyone else noticed ?

  • Excellent food and people in there. I've never smelt drains either but there is a cesspit right opposite!

  • The "cesspit" you refer to opposite is actually about 100 m down the hill and is a reservoir.  It is filled from the freshwater pipeline which runs along Los Gigantes cliffs, you can follow the pipeline along the beach road.

I walk past there twice a day and its OK.  However, at very stormy times when we get a lot of rain there can be problems in the village with blocked drains, but the council are usually quick to sort the problem once it it reported.

  • Ocean Drive is our favourite for breakfast and for a light snack with a fabulously cold beer on the way home from the Oasis.  The staff are brilliant, very friendly and recognise us every year (even remembered our son's name this year, which he was chuffed about).  We'll be back again in August and will make it our first port of call for some liquid refreshment after we've dumped our cases. We just think it's a shame they don't open later in the evenings, they did sometimes the first year we went, but not for the last 2.  I've never noticed an unpleasant smell either.  Keep up the great work Ocean Drive and see you in 2011 !!!   ;D

Seems as though i'm not the only one !!

Speaking to someone in Los Christianos today they have a similar sickness problem. He also says that the smell of drains sometimes fills the air, a subject that has been mentioned on this forum.

The area outside the tourist information shed is one that does from time to time have a certain whiff.
