  • This is one of my favourites, the food is always fresh and well presented, I have tried almost everything on their menu now, from the pizzas to the pancakes through to the fish and all the meat courses. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service, many loyal customers so Lee must be doing something right. Very reasonably priced too. ;D

This restaurant is in Los Gigantes.  Go up the steps by Verdes (opposite Harrods supermarket)

  • I agree. We always pay a visit to this restaurant each time we are in Los Gigantes. The staff are great and the food is really good and is not expensive. The house wine is good too.

  • Hear hear!! Best garlic mushrooms on the island ... and as for the savoury crepes ... especially the "St Malo" (spinach, cream and mushrooms) ... roll on September ... it's always our first port of call on the evening of our arrival ... thinking about this is making me hungry ... off to the kitchen to see what I can find in the fridge ...

Could you be a bit more specific about location - being a visitor I don?t know Verdes or the supermarket.  Perhaps you could direct from the Square or the Harbour, places all holiday-makers will easily find.

    Thanks

  • Walk downhill from the square on the left hand side of the road. Pass some steps on your left . The next opening turn left and Bodeguita
is at the the end of the passage. Enjoy.

Thank you Edward Bear (or may I call you Teddy?)  ;D

I will keep the directions for the next time we go and hopefully have a meal at La Bodeguita.  If we do I?ll write a review, as I said in another post, we should all be trying our hardest to push the good things about our island and encourage new visitors.

  • We have glanced in when walking by and it is always empty which puts us off to be honest.

  • Unfortunately, Mariposa has closed down.  Heard this from the owner, when in the Plaza last Sunday.

  • If the previous post is correct, I cannot BELIEVE Mariposa has closed down ! The food was fabulous - the best I`ve had in LG. Such a shame when really quality ( and reasonably priced ) food has not been appreciated. Back to the drawing board for next time. I was SO looking forward to a meal there again.
