  • i have just enjoyed my usual 3 weeks in log gigs, and had just one small problem during my stay,my wife and i were walking along the front in arena when a RED BMW COUPE pulled up and a young man sprang out of the passenger seat .. hello folkS how are you doing were are you from  did you notice the big yellow building back there? ...at this point i politely told him to save his time and talk to someone else as i was not interested..nothing unusual so far

he then said "WHY DONT YOU F..K YOU FAT BSTARD RUN UP THE FKIN HILL AND GET SOME EXERSISE YOU FAT BSTRD ...I COULD GO ON
and with that he jumped into his BMW AND HIS PARTNER DROVE OFF
the main reason i mention this is if i had been someone more fragile or indeed aggresive this could have been a major incident, as it was
that was the end off it  CAR REG " 2134 CTY " SMALL STOCKY MIXED RACE MALE BODY BUILDER TYPE ...STOP HIM OR SHOP HIM PLEASE!!!

  • If you are polite to them they should normally leave you alone, but i still find it hard to believe that you had such abuse unless he was a dietician in disguise.

  • My partner and I were also given a sarcastic 'mouthful' just last week whilst walking through the village - I asked the guy why he felt the need to be so rude and got another sarcastic reply - we just carried on walking and ignored him. After that I never saw the group again - there were about 3 of them and I'm sure they all had yellow tshirts. I also saw the red coupe 'cruising' around Arena and Santiago with a girl with dark hair constantly on her moby - one day a saw it about a dozen times - may not have been the same red car but sounds too much like coincidence.

  • The Judge has heard that the "SAID" Red BMW has been written off in an accident. Seems Drinking and Driving Doesn't pay after all. Poetic Justice some might say !!!!  ;)

  • My technique for dealing with timeshare touts is to reply with ldblquote Sprechen sie Deutschdblquote  and a shrug of the shoulders. It never fails.

However, I was once caught out by a laughing timeshare tout in Lanzarote wearing my English uniform (socks and sandals).

  • There have been a few timeshare people in LG who were quite amenable, they were in the minority however. My main experience is watching certain individuals trying to sell timeshare (who stand out like a sore thumb). Then seeing same individuals absolutly plastered later on trying to obtain other substances.

Timeshare .. floggings too good! Bring back the stocks!!

  • I live here and I guess I get recognised localy so I don'b4t tend to get bothered by them, but when my family come over to visit me they do get stopped, they have found that when they say "no thanks we already live here" the timeshare touts just walk away usually saying their thanks...

  • Whenever we are anywhere near the touts, or we spot them, my husband and I just seperate and walk as if we are by ourselves.  Thye never approach single people.  This is the easier option as they never take no for an answer. :-\\

  • With ref to my earlier posting we DID say we lived here and was met with 'yer right, course you do' followed by expletives and sarcasm - that's why we just carried on walking and ignored him - I say him as there was one in particular who just wouldn't shut up and followed us along the street.
