  • I have just read that  Mount Teide National Park has been nominated as a World Heritage Site.  About time too. We once spent a whole week just driving around this vast and beautiful park. Next time, Iquote ll take a map.

What a wonderful opportunity for the tourism industry in Tenerife in general. But what a fantastic opportunity in particular for a local council which happens to have ldblquote Teidedblquote  in its name, to cash in on the ldblquote Teidedblquote  brand and promote its area on the world stage.

Will it be a missed opportunity?

  • OoooH slow BBC our local Tenerife Sun reported on this back in February http://www.thetenerifesun.com/issue-228/index.htm#3

but I agree about using Santiago del TEIDE's name to full advantage, something that Steve McKenna might present to the council at the next meeting now they have been sworn in (This am Sat)
