  • Is there a lot of politics involved

    Do you have to be a member of the rotery club or masons or local parish council to be english in LG.

    or like me just do your own thing.

    We are buying there shortly and would like to do our own thing charity wise

    Would this be an issue

    No, but being English would put you in the minority as there are more Scots and Irish than English.  Perhaps being "British" would be wiser!

  • You could become a "swallow" i.e live here over the winter say between October and March.

    Actually these types are now called "sparrows" 'cos they're always going "cheap, cheap"
