We're off to Icod on Friday, any suggestions for lunch would be greatly appreciated.

not the prettiest of towns and not much to see other than the Dragon tree. If you're going in that direction make time to visit Garachico.

We thought icod was nice, especially the old part of town, the buildings with the lovely Canarian balconies and the restaurants around the top part as you walk away from the dragon tree. We found a lovely authentic tapas bar too.

That'll do for us then Sandylea, don't want to be on the bus for much longer than an hour. Can you remember the name of the tapas bar

We think Icod is a very pretty town
Always go to a Spanish Bar restaurant (I think on a corner) with some tables outside, opposite the front of the church; eaten there 3/4 times and like it. They serve some tapas

Had a nice enough day in Icod, although it was cold and raining. The bus journey over the mountains was nice though, even if it did reaffirm how lovely Los Gigantes is. We found your restaurant Galeus which was really nice, lovely authentic Tapas, its called Tierro de Campos i think. As soon as we came back over the mountain the sun was shining on our little corner of heaven.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's worth a visit and the journey on the bus is good as a sightseeing exercise.

Definitely, it was a nice way to see all those little villages and what a great bus service los Gigantes has too.
