2019 CARNIVAL

Hello, I cannot find anything regarding dates for the carnival.
I am trying to book a trip to coincide with the carnival as an anniversary surprise for my wife. Please does anyone have any info on this.
Also we need somewhere to stay, any recommendations or private rentals?
We have done this trip previously.

Carnival is planned over two weekends march 16th and following weekend. Parade on first Sunday Hope to find out theme soon

It's always started 10 days after Shrove Tuesday, so this year 15 March. For the last couple of years it's been spread over two weekends.

The Parade in Santa Cruz is always on Shrove Tuesday and their Carnaval finishes the following weekend.  Los Gigantes Carnaval normally starts on the following Friday (or Thursday), i.e 10 days later.  So the dates for the next few years will probably be as follows, subject to modification by the Carnaval Committee or weather.

Wow, great piece of work Tanemera. I wonder how many of those Los Gigantes Carnavals I'll make. Only missed 3 in the last 25 years.
