My mums coming out end of Feb and she's hoping to hire a mobility scooter. Any info on who hires them out would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Pete.

Earlier in the year we made enquiries re hiring a mobility scooter after my husband’s accident, but were advised that the pavements around Puerto Santiago and Los Gigantes were not conducive to using scooters and that very few businesses would hire them for use in this area. Not to mention the hills!

We had a friend who used to hire one. He stayed at el sombrero, kept it up at reception and just used it for going as far as the Marina and back. Don't know which company supplied it though.

Hi

We are hiring one from Active Mobility in Los Cristianos.  We are collecting ours but I understand they can deliver if required.
Their website is https://www.activemobility-tenerife.com/ and we received a prompt reply from the online enquiry
A fold up one for the boot works out at around €60 per day
Have a lovely time

Are you sure, 60 Euros per day is a lot.
Think they may be taking you on!

Same as for the mobility scooters, Plus car at Vigilia Park.
With all the hills you might be better off with the Mobility scooter 😀

Lesley, other than in the immediate Los Gigs area I cannot see a mobility scooter working. If you are in the Diamond apartments again forget it.  My Mum used to have one and they are ok on the flat but as soon as you introduce any inclines they are a death trap.  Taxis for your Mum xxxx

She stays in Tamara when she goes Mags and they basically just go the the square, Richardson's, Ibericos and thereabouts. I think she has decided to take her tripod walker instead. Her problem is that she panics and walks too fast getting from A to B. She also changes her mind all the time so who knows what next Feb will bring. She's out a month after we return so that will give her plenty of time to make up her mind and have my heart roasted into the bargain.
