The Mayor, with the Cabildo, is holding a public meeting at the Hotel Los Gigantes, aka Sensimar, Tuesday at 19.00 hours.

My concern is the two way part must mean less parking in village which is hard enough already.

Was there talk of a multi storey being built in the lido on the left at the bottom of the hill, or is/was that a rumour?

Mary, I already subscribe to I Love Los G but could not find the post from Paul Ruane.  Have you got a link you could provide?  There was a post in Spanish but not from Paul.  I met the mayor in his office in March on another matter and he showed me the plans on his PC.  There was a lot of detail and he was very enthusiastic.  However it was much the same presentation as I attended in Los G about six years ago and not one of the proposed improvements has transpired.

Thans Mary, it did work! Paul says a new road to the marina, or did I read it wrong. Will they not have to demolish loads of property to create a new road.

Road update - think Mr Ruane did not explain it that well. It seems that the works will not create a new road.
But update the existing from the start of the ring/one way system outside "Simple Simons" on the down hill side to Marina promenade. They hope to possibly have this section 2 way, losing the pavements, or raising the road so as to form an urbanisation walk/drive way. That is to say, that though the  pavement and road are at the same level, they will be distinguished by different finishes/tiles/colours/textures.
You may have seen this modernisation at home in the UK, or over here on the more recent road updates at Las Americas.
The first section to be updated, is I believe the lower portion from outside the Tamera Restaurant to the Marina.
But then again, what do I know - am not even a Gringo!

In theory, it sounds good but look at what a mess they made of the square!

I agree, a total embarrassment! It looks filthy. And nearly two years to complete - heads should roll!
San Juan village are nearing completion of their new Plaza. Including a fantastic underground car park.
And the surfaces not much different to what we had in LG, before they decided to replace our beautiful marble in Wickes block paving. Most definitely a back hand fiddle job. SHAME ON THEM!

Good, well fingers crossed they are a better bunch now.
