Flor del Drago
« on: February 12, 2018 »
We had a really lovely meal at Flor del Drago, we’ve been going for years (and to Juan Llanos before then) but never posted about it before, weve never been disappointed,  set menu 17.99 euros, last night it was pear and Gorgonzola salad, chicken breast in pepper sauce with potatoes carrots and spinach purée and strawberry cake, total bill was 60 euros which included a tip, 2 set meals,  a bottle of Jacobs Creek, a bottle of water and 2 lattes, the set menu changes twice a week, Saturday and Tuesday, they are closed Friday and Saturday lunchtime, booking recommended, we stopped as we were passing on Thursday afternoon and couldnt get a table that night or Saturday

CS thanks for that information. We too rate Flor del Drago as always reliable for high standard of food.

Your breakdown of the pricing was interesting - on saturday evening we went to Paddy’s Lounge in Los Gigantes. We had a main meal each, one being gammon egg and chips and the other fish and chips regular size, g & t, one beer, two wines a bottle of tonic and the bill was €41. You on the other hand had three courses etc, which demonstrates that value for money, you had the better deal. Food for thought!!

Best restaurant value for money in the whole area. Dutch family owned and and run, Henrik is a real CHEF not a cook, his wife Karine is the head of house and both their sons work there, although one is away at the moment at catering college.

We have also been to their wine tasting meals and also we spent New Years Eve with them, these occasions were fantastic, a little expensive but worth every cent.
