ABUNDIA Restaurant
« on: January 16, 2018 »
We went to Abundia whilst we were on holiday.  What an absolute delight.  The staff are genuinely warm, friendly and funny.  A great rapport was made instantly.  The menu is great.  Completely different from anything else in the area.  The starter portions are huge but gorgeous.  The main courses were enjoyed by us all.  Wine, shorts, beer, coffees etc., with a complimentary drink of your choice all at a reasonable price 140.00 Euros for four people. Will go again on our next visit.

It used to be San Remo, that closed and it had a complete refurb last summer and reopened as Abundia (new owners) I completely agree with everything magsandmike have said, we’ve been several times and have never been disappointed, it’s owned by the same people as Capaccino Maria

I tried it with Family and Friends just after it opened last year and although the food was very nice, I thought it was let down by the staff who were not very attentive. We were not asked if we wanted a drink when we sat down. We had to ask the Staff to order food and no one came back and asked if we wanted any more drinks throughout our entire meal.

I'm prepared to put it down to opening night nerves and new Staff. The place itself looked very nice, so I hope it has improved. I might give it another go, based upon the above comments, but I think I'll try it with just myself and my Wife before I take anymore Friends along.

We went to Abundia for a late lunch. Best sangria I've had. We had seafood casserole, salmon salad and pasta, all washed down with an excellent Rose. Thoroughly enjoyable and would definitely recommend.  The staff were lovely and very attentive.

HI tomfer, , we found the restaurant Abundia very good, but not as good as Charlies. Guess they will all have to step up!

Pilgrim you confuse readers to this message board where advice and recommendations are sought and peoples’ businesses are promoted or criticised.

On 5th January you claimed Charlie’s food wasn’t as fresh as another restaurant. On 11th January you tore “Mary” off a strip for praising Charlie’s and accused her of unfair bias/financial interest in Charlie’s. A rant you apologised for subsequently. Today you sing Charlie’s praises???

For those of us who regularly congratulate Charlie’s for their superb all round standard, please explain your change of opinion and justify your potentially harmful comments made less than a month ago.

ANGIE .... I think you may be expecting a lot if you think pilgrim will provide a plausible explanation for his stupid and fairly offensive comments regarding Charlies and his subsequent change of heart...... but we will see...

Angie, we returned to Charlies the week before last and had a great meal. So as I have said previous, I can only speak as I find. The improvement in the Restaurant has been profound.

Seems a lovely restaurant if you have to book in advance

What are the prices like for example steak

Do they offer a fixed priced menu

Looking at posts the wine is excellent and good value and seems they have a wine area to choose from

Always better to book Georgie, check out their Facebook page for the number.

‘Is their a queue for dinner?’
Obviously not if you’ve booked.
But I’ll be their on Saturday, so I’ll let you know

Always a queue Georgie , just collect your tray from outside  along with your knife and fork and tell them what you want as you go along . Packs of sandwiches and the tommy sauce are available at the end .
Congratulations on spelling 'queue' correctly , you must have turned on your spell checker for once.

I don't get your point at all because it was a good question that tourist would appreciate and if it is good and busy why turn up and not get a seat

If I meet you in the line for dinner please introduce yourself

Will do Georgie , just wear a hat and wooly jumper and I will know who you are . The point I was getting across was that people don't queue for dinner , they turn up if they haven't booked , ask if there is a free table and then leave if they are not successful . I have never seen a queue for a restaurant in Tenerife in my life only at Ikea or some other fast food place . I haven't been to Abundia but I presume by the previous comments that it is not a fast food joint .

Totally agree with your post but I do like to pre book and have never seen queues apart from waiting for a beer
