Roads to be closed in Playa Arena ans Puerto Santiago

There are lots of signs around Arena and Puerto Santiago today saying that roads are going to be closed, something to do with sportivo. But there's no indication when, or why, and whether we'll be able to drive our car out. Could anyone enlighten me, please?

Could it be the evening road race ,it usually last a couple of hours sometimes the taxis can't leave the village due to the closures.

Thanks, Will. You were right, it was a road run. The roads were closed for only about 30 minutes so not too much disruption. Was good to see people of all ages and genders running through the streets of Arena.

We were in balcony drinking g&t. Could hear a loud speaker, couldn't fathom what was going on. Wish we'd known.
