Well there is nothing offensive about a polite question, even if it is repetitive. If you don't know the answer then don't reply rather than hurling insults. I have never encountered such a rude bullying forum before.

Quite agree about insults but you have only been a member for less then a year so are not bored yet whilst some have been batting off his questions since 2016 when he joined. As stated above it is always a question and I cannot recall constructive advice about LG coming the other way. From someone who has supposedly  been visiting LG for 15 years or so he does not know much. He should be a fountain of knowledge by now.

Well said AWOL I totally agree. Georgie never offers information, yet claims to have spent years in LG.

You can check back on his questions should you get bored!!!!!!

Pilgrim, you are getting as bad as you know who, not reading posts, I will repeat, having worked for 53 years I am now retired.

Also the last time I invested money in Tenerife it cost me 18000.00 Euro, just about the cost of a double to you, also as for employing the other 2, I could not care how clever you profess to be, I have already said I don't suffer fools, you of course are included in that category.

How can I offer information

In a early post around 100 years ago I said if I am not there my telescope does not pick up local issues

That is why I ask

Now Mr Nophead will hopefully understand we are not being rude in the true sense and he may see fit to join our "exclusive" Club. You will know who we are as all our hair has been pulled out :)

Trying to book but the prices are very expensive for next year

Have restaurant prices gone up to cover the loss in revenue  please

We haven't noticed any prices going up. Certainly La Bodeguita and El Pescador seem just as good value.

Of course the exchange rate was worse when we arrived but improving.

Given that table occupancy is one or two in each restaurant it would need a massive supplement to cover the loss. We wouldn't be able to afford it!

I know it is stupid to start booking holidays yet but jet2 in may looks good value from Stansted and they are offering changes at no cost

Might go for it

One would hope by May things are better but Jet2 and Tui are the first to cancel flights when there are problems. We met a couple here a few days ago who's holiday is being cut short a week because Jet2 want to fly them home early to avoid flying out empty now that people from the UK are banned. So they paid for expensive tests to get here and but get a shorter holiday for no good reason.

Currently people from the UK are banned until 5 January. I have no idea what will happen after that.

Georgie, we were due out next week, but moved the flights to November. And with so much uncertantey
with this new strain of virus, and wether a new lockdown is coming. We thought best not to book any thing in the short term, but wait till restrictions are lifted a bit then hopefully book quick before prices get to high.
Maybe you have to co-ordinate holiday leave with your employer, so last/minute notice wouldn't work for you.

We would have been due in Feb/March, we will wait and see what happens, hopefully the jab will be available, we can go anytime, not had any holidays this year, the last one was the lockdown in los Gigs, chomping at the bits for a holiday, don't give a bugger if prices go up, they say everyone is skint, but i bet the airports are rammed full after the vaccine! we usually use sleezyjet because of their flight times, but the way they treated us last march will be remembered!

We were due to come on the 29/12 for 3 months, we did book flights on the 12/12 as our accommodation was flexible, but as they were only £16.00 each, we just did not take them up.

We are still hoping to come over when the restrictions allow, which Spain are looking at on the 10/01, also we are hoping we get the vaccine in the next couple of weeks.

As for the airlines I think they are all tarred with the same brush, we had return flights cancelled with Jet 2 & Ryanair & it took them a long time to repay us, especially the latter.

I know Tui do not have a very good reputation but when they cancelled our holiday in October, flights & Hotel, we received a full refund within a week.

Are there many tourists in the area, looking at the video cameras for the Island, they all look like ghost towns & beaches.

Yes there are quite a few tourists here now. A lot more than we came in Oct when bars and restaurants where lucky to have one table occupied. Nothing like normal of course.

Lots of Germans and a recent influx of Russians it would seem.

I heard from a staff member that the Royal Sun is 60% occupied ATM.

It's been made quite clear what documentation is required to enter Spain by air and sea at the moment so there is no sympathy for not having it. Fully deserve what they get.

Having just posted, I've found a posting by Jo Lamb on Que Pasa,  posted a couple of hours ago, seems like there is a complicated problem. Well worth reading.
