So far it doesn't seem to have spread outside the H10 hotel in Costa Adeje.

I think the most dangerous part is flying with a plane load of brits as there are more cases there than here.

Simple masks are useless for preventing the wearer from catching a virus. Surgical masks are to stop the wearer from infecting the patient, not the other way around. For that you need a proper hasmat suit.

We have flights booked for late April. Unless Jet2 cancel the flight we will still travel. Would rather get to LG and not be able to fly home than miss our first trip of this year. Hopefully all the panic and scare mongering will have reduced by then.

No face masks - according to experts they are useless. Totally ridiculous in my humble opinion. Will wipe down the things we touch around airport and plane. I will be the one with the marigolds and packs of cleaning wipes. I do that anyway regardless of Corona

Georgie, don't get your hopes up like many Countries there are a lot of businesses that will never reopen.

Here in Tenerife the Canarian Government have written off 2020 for tourists and the total lockdown continues until 10th of May, the only relaxation children under 14 are now allowed out for 1 hour a day with 1 parent, people in the UK have no idea what a lockdown is.

Georgie, are you saying you have booked and not taken out any Insurance for the holiday, if that is correct you are a little silly.

When you book a holiday you should take out Insurance at the same time, not when you go, the reason is simple. You book for December, you fall ill in November you are unable to go, you have not taken out Insurance you lose your money.

For most people, if you have 2 or more holidays a year, annual policies are better value. Ours runs out mid September, when we are hoping to be in LG. Expecting quite a hike in price, but it’s worth it. Perhaps Georgie is referring to an annual Policy ?

I recently spoke to the company we have our annual insurance policy with, we renew at the end of September, they said as long as we renew and as long as the FCO are no longer advising against all but essential travel to anywhere, for anything we booked pre March 2020, regardless of when it was for, we would be covered for covid19 but anything booked after March 2020 we would not

Ok as someone who is still here because flights have been cancelled but am happier here.Decision you make what is right for you we need to get back to UK by september.hope will be safer by then. But as a example Santiago del Teide has registered 12k people since start we have had 10 cases to deaths and have been completely clear now.Uk in our area 2k and 19 deaths you all decide
