Falstaff

In the past when observing people falling out on the message boards and seeing who takes sides, it was quite easy to work out  in a short period of time when multiple identities were being used. Thankfully the malicious spats are a thing of the past. However, I have been intrigued for some time about our new friend Pablado. The man who knows so little and also knows so much.  He is not a malicious alter ego but a commercial one. Many of his posts can be  associated  with commercial advantage. I think I know who his alter ego is and it's been apparent for quite some time.  Who do you think he is?

PABLADO LUV IT

Interesting comment - a few tips to help you along:

I have visited LG for around 7 years now usually around the winter months.

On average twice a year.

I do not live in LG at all but have enjoyed my visits on all occasions and am loyal to the people from restaurants etc that are friendly and courteous.

I will always be found at least once on my visits to the Kareoke evenings at the Highland Paddy signing Rod Stewart songs

That's a very interesting observation you have made Falstaff - but alas you have been caught with your trousers down - there follows a quote which you yourself made to one and all on this message board on 23rd July 2010.

"It's quite some time since Falstaff's last post but I must make a confession - I have another identity on the message boards. I have  been posting under my  other identity. I am in fact also known as  ?Orange.? In view of my very many critical posts as Falstaff about multiple identities I would ask Dolly to terminate  my Orange membership  and remove all my Orange posts ? immediately please.  Thank you Dolly."

I wanted to be the Cincinnati Kid - but couldn't spell it

ROFL

Falstaff

Kid, my choice of the name  “Falstaff” arose out of  my liking for the Shakespearean character Sir John Falstaff, a man of few qualities but a man with a wicked sense of humour, or at least someone to be laughed at.

You will  be aware that I posted a few messages about/to Orange and although I have respect for Orange and  his post  we did not hit it off.  You should read the message you have quoted as my attempt at a humorous comment given that I am not and never have been Orange. Get  it now?

Having said that,  a few years ago I did get rather tired of posting as  Falstaff  because having been a member of the message boards for 5 or 6 years, for some inexplicable  reason I   picked  up one or two foes (OK, it was a few more than that) so  I deleted my Falstaff membership and left the message boards. I then rejoined as Phoenix (without the Falstaff baggage).  I did not post as both  Falstaff and Phoenix, only Phoenix. As time went by someone mentioned Falstaff and to cut a long story short I rejoined the message boards as Falstaff and ceased to post as Phoenix.

Getting back to the point. I  have said above:-

“In the past when observing people falling out on the message boards and seeing who takes sides, it was quite easy to work out in a short period of time when multiple identities were being used.”

Kid, I know you are not Pablado.  The key to finding multiple identities is to  look to see who is taking sides.

Corr! that's all so complicated, multiple this, Shakespeare that, taking sides. I chose the on-line name 'Pilgrim' because it defines as "one whom journeys due to devotion" and returning to LG 4 or 5 times a makes it quite apt. But it would be interesting to find how other users came to choose their names.

  • Yes, I recognise you now. You gamble only on favourites (1), You like to travel, find the winter in UK cold (2), Raised in a council house (nothing wrong with that - like me) in south London, not far from brixton/clapham and moved to somewhere less multicultural to purchase a nice house about 20 years ago(3), possibly downsizing now children have grown up, and future may produce a small inheritance or the possibility of an endowment maturing(4). A bit of a dreamer (5).
I will put that mirror away now.

  • Apart from No.1 ,where my cousin played for Chelsea during the 70's and early 80's, you have won the £5.

You just need to contact the person who bet against me  ;)
