  • Hi Folks,

I was just wondering where in you humblest opinion REALLY is the best place to stay in Los Gigantes and the surrounding areas.

My family and I have staying in numerous villas, apartments and hotels and we just keep coming back for more. ;)

Perhaps there is a place to stay that gets 10/10.

Don't worry you secret is safe with me. ;D

  • Like yourself ,we have been coming to LG for years. We started at the hotel and then moved on to various apartments eg.Tamara ,fab in the summer but pool is freezing in the winter, then we stayed in calle palmera ,fab apartment and views but no pool, then we wandered aimlessly and found ourselves at the Royal Sun.We loved it,but alas no more.
Recently we stayed at Las Rosas and quite honestly it was very good.Warm pool, lots of sunbeds, good bar serving snacks and meals. The staff were really friendly and regular maid service. They try and stop people reserving sunbeds ,encourage you to use their pool towels so non residents are discouraged. They also try and discourage people from using mobile phones around the pool, good idea but ...........
You are central for some good restaurants and bars and easily can walk in to LG,dont know about walking back though !!
At this moment in time Las Rosas would get my vote.

  • Hi Gladys,

Thanks for the reply.  Funny world isn't it because Las Rosas is our No.1 choice and we have stayed more times than I have fingers & toes.

It's nice to know that we agree.  I didn't know about the mobile phones but what a great idea.

    Regards Leigh x

p.s  I never get sick of the view at Las Rosas.

  • Hi Gladys and Leigh,
Being an receptionist in las Rosas I must admit it it is very popular, gets the ticks on most boxes !
To make a reservation other than timeshare villas, ask the reception to send you the private owners contact list, or check on the website

There are six Las Rosas villas on there, however they are getting a bit overpriced compared to other new resorts.

  • Thanks Nikki,

We have done our homework and have a contact list at hand. Plus we find the best thing to do (as you know) is to ask around whilst staying there.

By the way Nikki we thought your mum wasn't out until Friday. :'(

Wish We Were There. ;) Give your Mum a hug from the three of us in old blighty. :-*

  • Haven't stayed at Las Rosas but have visited a few of them, aren't the balconies/patios a bit small and lacking in privacy? personal favourite is Tamara but also very much like Hibisco 2, great views and big balconies, no pool but most owners provide membership of sports club across the road. 8)

    yummy mummy

  • We stayed in a villa in San Fransisco which was very nice.  Only a taxi drive away from Los Gigantes or you could walk it if you want to risk the roads.  Also found Tamara very good but all depends on what apartment you have.
