  • You are  right  Amunette.  A good sunset is a good sunset irrespective of where it is. This one was taken at my home in Wales last summer.  Trying to photograph one is very difficult. When you see one you have but a matter of seconds to run to snatch your camera and do the business.

Amunette, I apologise for any unintentional offence I may have caused in my recent posts. Mrs Falstaff is forever criticising me for my perverse and wicked sense of humour, claiming that most people think I'm being serious when they should have the sense to realise that  I am a complete lunatic.

Wouldn't the world be an incredibly boring place if we all agreed with each other.

Talking of Wales and lunatics, what has happened to Maps? Surely he must must have been paroled by now?

  • I am quite sure Amunette can speak for herself but I just wanted to put in my tenpenorth, it is people like you & posts like this that gave this board a bad reputation.

  • Not very friendly at all June and not really suitable for the public forum.
We must have better things to discuss than this?

  • June you deserve a red card and a ban for such an insulting message.

  • the person posting as "june mccloud" is the main reason i stopped posting on this forum.  this person is nothing but an aggressive trouble maker with a very nasty tongue.  dont rise to the bait ammunnette. i dont think this person even lives in the los gigantes area, or has anything to do with it.  dolly, i suggest 'it's' e-mail address is banned from using this forum.

  • June McCloud

I'm not going to repeat what others have said before me, but my finger is hovering over the ban button.

  • I think that you are right to give June an opportunity to apologise for her outrageous post and to give an undertaking that it won't happen again. But given that she has not so far done the decent thing indicates that she has no remorse and given her track record she will probably strike again on some other innocent victim. Those of us who have fictitious names are less vulnerable but there are many people who post on here who are absolutely straight and have identified themselves. They  will surely think twice before posting again so they need to be protected.

Janey has said that she walked away for six months because of June's comments and  I would think that  Amunette  may well now leave this message board which means that June McCloud's bad behaviour strategy will have worked.

I have voiced my opinion already and I accept that  it should be your decision as to who posts on this message board  but in reality, it does rather look  like its really June McCloud's.

  • Well said Falstaff, although when decent people stay away because of morons haven't the morons won?
I was truly shocked when I sw the message, but also was aware that it was posted at 4.28 in the morning, so assumed that when this person sat down to stir things up  he/she was probably drunk.
I may well be off the mark in this assumption but in any case it was a very vicious attack not only on Amunette but also her parents, but knowing the past history of "June" I doubt that an apology has even crossed his/her mind.

  • Awww, what did I miss?!!!! Old Junie being "her" normal lovely self by the sound of it LOL. Whatever she said, if it bad-mouthed my mum, I would not like to be in her shoes if she(mum) finds out who it is!!

Don't worry folks, people like that obviously lead very sad lonely lives, so are more to be pitied than anything.

  • Very generous comment Amunette.  :)

I bet when Lee started this topic he didnt think it would develop as it has. The title 'Where has the friendliness gone? has been proved very apt.

  • I hear what you say Falstaff but if I ban him/her they can log in under another name and it all starts again.  I do check the board several times a day, including Sundays when I am trying to have a day off!

Lets get back onto the subject of friendliness.  I've been busy all weekend and at last  the Carnaval video clips are finished and are being transferred tonight. Hopefully DaRKeTaMiN, if he's recovered yet, will add them to our video page tomorrow.

Despite the credit crunch hundreds of people were joining in and having a real good time, the clips are just full of smiles and laughter and the fancy dress costumes..........well i'll leave you to decide.  We have captured the highlights of the events and a souvenir DVD will be on sale locally or can be posted.  More about that in a day or so.

Next good fun event will be St. Patrick's night at the Blarney stone in Playa Arena - Tues 17th March.  There's still a few tickets left.

  • Hi all, I certainly didn't think that such an innocent thread could cause any ill feeling, but on the positive side I am really happy that a few people who I remembered posting in the past have resurfaced after a long absence and hopefully we can reignite the friendly days of old where points of view (no matter how different) can be expressed in a light hearted and friendly manner.

I love reading this forum and seeing what is happening in the LG and surrounding areas as it helps you feel part of the community no matter how far away you may be.

Really looking forward to visiting LG again in May and many thanks to all who have posted positive and friendly comments  :)

P.S. to the members who live in Wales I am really jealous, myself and my family have had some fantastic holidays in and around the Pembrokeshire area and Wales scenery is indeed outstanding.

    Kind regards
    Lee.
