Where can i buy a travel cot?

  • Anybody know anywhere in the area where i can buy rather than hire a travel cot? I'd like to get one to leave in our apartment but don't want one taking up space all the time. The locals must buy baby things somewhere - but I'm having trouble finding where!

    Any suggestions?  :)

  • The only places that I can think of are in Santa Cruz. You could try Al Campo, Carrefour or Toys R Us.

  • The nearest "proper" baby shops are in Alcala but I agree prices and choice will be better in the out of town shopping centres

  • There are many baby shops in Icod De Los Vinos, so if you do not find what you are looking for in one shop, atleast you can walk around the corner to another.

  • Try Baby Boom, Avenida de Suecia, Los Cristianos, although you will probably find AlCampo or Carrefour more economical.

  • As an apartment owner you probably don't have to take as much luggage as many holidaymakers do so have luggage allownace to spare.   I would consider buying exactly what you want in the UK and taking it with you, we have taken many "unusual" pieces of luggage over the last 2 years and have never had any problems.
