  • Well Deedee, you have raised a good point. If you look at the statistics for visits to this website, you will see that the number of ?hits? for May and June are down significantly on the previous year and it seems likely that this month will see a 25,000 fall -

    What is the explanation?  Does it foretell a declining demand for holidays in Los Gigantes this year, or could it be simply due to the self inflicted absence of Edward Bear?

    And  what needs to be done to improve this website?s visitor numbers?  I note that another website is giving away a free bottle of scotch to all of their members who post over 395 messages!

  • I am still here, been a bit of a traumatic year so far for me in the UK. However, things are looking up now and I will be flying out next week for an extended holiday.  :)
    I am having trouble with various aspects of the website though, including this message board!

  • Maybe it's time to wake up a few of you -  not having to give the message board so much of my time has meant we could continue with the updating of more on our information pages.

    What seems to be the problem RoyL.  Everything on the website is working perfectly from here, and no one else has reported a problem.  Do let me know.

  • Hi there everyone, glad to see some of you are still lurking!
    Well Hello Dolly...(we know a song about that, don't we?) main problems for me are local news pages either not loading correctly or returning a server error. When pages dint load correctly they are just the outer borders with a dark screen in the middle. I have made several attempts to log in to the mesage boards over the last few weeks, quite surprised when it let me in today. Maybe that's why its quiet - the security may be TOO good! Also I am running Zonealarm and AVG, there may be something within the site that one or the other sees as "risky". Final beef - I am typing this on a small screen with black font on a dark blue background. It is a pain to try and see it! Involves frequent previews for corrections before posting.
    Apart from that....everythings fine!  ::)
