  • I have heard that there is a great water park in Las Americas, can you let me know if it is easy to get to from Los Gigantes by bus? Thank you.

  • there are a couple of waterparks.  by far the best is siam park.  buy tickets at the exchange shop in los gigantes next to tipsy terrace. expensive but well worth it!  they can arrange transport to, but, personally i would hire a car for the day.

  • I do not consider it worth hiring a car just for the day to get to Siam Park where it will sit idle and you pay ?3 for the car park. If you have no car, you do not specify I would suggest the fast bus to Playa Las Americas and the Siam Park shuttle from there. There may be free transport from the Los Gigantes area one or two days a week.

Have a great day. It is a must go attraction.

  • Fantastic place. Well worth a visit.
Essential to buy your tickets before you go. The whole world seems to arrive there at 1000 !!
The Que to buy entry tickets is enormous as is the Que to buy a locker key.
My family went last week and had a fantastic time.

  • Buses are frequent if not always running exactly to time. 473 is the standard bus but the 477 is the express bus with fewer stops.
More information on the buses can be found in English on www.titsa.com
Buying yourself a 12? bono bus ticket or two beforehand can save you even more money on the day. Cards are inserted into a machine reader on entering the bus and a reduced fare is payable.
    Enjoy!

  • If you do hire a car, consider buying the dual-park ticket for Siam Park and Loros Park (Puerto de la Cruz).  Excellent dolphin and other shows at Loro.  You can pick up details anywhere.  There may even be excursions from Los Gigantes.

  • Hi Mummysboys.

If you go to our local news page http://losgigantes.com/news/ and in type in "Siam Park" in the news search at the top LEFT (not top right as that one is Google search) several stoies and pictures of the park are there.

Also on our video page http://www.losgigantes.com/VideoPlayer/ there are 2 videos "Opening night" and "Wild Wet Day" - you need to scroll down below Los Gigantes and Carnival to see the icon.

It's a superb day out.  We had a great day filming there.  Expect it to be very busy because it is school holidays.

Have fun and report back to us.

Such a comprehensive response as this should not go without notice!

Poolepirate, what are you on about now?  The question was "can you let me know if it is easy to get to from Los Gigantes by bus?"  The answer was "Try El Mar".  Seems reasonable to me!

  • Personally I use Tenerife Sunshine for all excursions, you can book online, get great discounts and they will send you e-tickets, you can also chat online to them if you have any queries.  They are totally trustworthy having been on the island for over 12 years, they are also fully licensed unlike some of the people who sell excursions.  http://www.tenerifesunshine.es/en/Excursions  They charge ?10 for the Los Gigantes return transfer to Siam Park.

  • i am surprised that during the school holidays, siam park dont send one of the free buses up to los gigantes a couple of times a week to collect holidaymakers who would like to visit the water park.  maybe the local tourist board should speak to siam park with regard to this.  dolly - didnt you go on a press trip there?  surely someone on that trip would have been in charge of doing deals with siam park on behalf of los gigantes/pto santiago/ p del arena?  siam park would have invited the press/tourist info etc with all this in mind......
