  • 1st - You will need a sky dish fitted to the right angle to obtain the pictures. It will require a different LMB on the end to the one in the uk, so bringing that one over is pointless, as it will not work.

2nd - The box frequency will need to be reset, you can do this yourself in the menu options, to frequency 11740. (in England the frequency is 11778) If the box ever goes off, it may reset its self to 11778, so you will need to reset it again.

3rd - You will only be able to get a few channels FREE over here.

            Sky News    501
            BBC News    503
            CNN News   506
            Bid up tv     456
            Five US       173
            Five US+1    174
            Five            175
            Five+1         176
            Channel 5    105

plus some smaller channels, but not many

On BBC News, if you press the RED Interactive button, you can also receive all the LIVE Sport Interactive
programmes that the BBC are showing, like Tennis, Formula 1, Match of the Day etc

  • Thank you so much for all the info Judge. As we already get the English channels via our community, there doesn't seem much point bringing it out and we're not allowed a separate dish (I'm presuming the community dish from which we obtain english channels wouldn't be any good???).

Thanks again for taking the trouble to reply.
