UK TV - Expat Shield

  • Is anyone out there having problems with the expat shield application. Mine has worked like a dream for the last six months but I'm now having problems getting past the adverts on ITV Player. It streams the programs OK but constantly buffers the adverts and can take 15/20 minutes to get through them. I contacted Anchor Free and they told me they are no longer developing or supporting the free version. They said they are currently developing  a new version of Hotspot Shield (subscription version) which will allow you to select a country for a proxy server. I tried the 7 day trial of Hotspot Shield with a view to subscribe but was directed to an American IP address with no option to change. If anyone has the same problems or knows a solution, I would welcome your comments.

  • At the moment my expatshield proxy is very slow also, but if it's just the tv channels you want,
    try here..    http://freetvall.com/videos/24/UK-Channels/most_recent/all_time/

    3 pages.

Buffering depends on your connection speed.

  • I use expat shield but today it is so slow its not worth the effort. Google bestvpn.com.Its a fee servoce and tonight have tried bbc and itv and both are good. Set up the vpn and use the username free and password 3169. I have a feeling these details may change daily and have to be obtained from the site but it does not seem to slow down the connection
