  • Comment by Tanemera on the 26th March.

The latest report, from the Mayor's own lips, is that work will start on Los Guios beach and cliffs in April and be completed in July.  He doesn't specify which year though.  I noticed a large pipe being laid from the road down to the beach last week.  Possibly for pumping concrete through?

  • The new pipe is to replace the old one which was destroyed in the landslide.  The pipe is the continuation of the pipeline which runs along the cliffs bringing water to the Los Gigantes reservoir beside the Oasis.

  • So what about the mayor's published promise that work would start in April and be completed by July?  This seemed a sensible schedule which would have allowed the beach to open again for the summer holiday season.

  • I have heard through the grape vine that the Laguillo pool are offering free entrance for Los Gigantes residents due to the beach being closed, has anybody else heard this or even been to the pool lately?
