  • That's a wide ranging question and impossible to anwer in less than a couple of pages.

May I suggest you spend time on this site looking through many posts.  It will certainly give you a flavour for the place.

Having done that, you could then pose specific questions which will' I'm sure solicit good answers.

  • Have stayed at Tamara Apartments numerous times, some of the apartments are really nice especially the ones higher up because you get a fantastic view.  You couldn't have picked a better part of the Island to stay in Los Gigantes is wonderful.

  • There is a very simple answer to  dillbhoy?s question. To get information about bars, restaurants and the  prices, check out Borris and Dorris ? Good food guide on this forum ? the direct link to bookmark is:- http://www.losgigantes.com/board/index.php?board=6.0

Also check out ?What?s on Locally? ? programme of events, click the button on home page or the direct link to bookmark is:- http://www.losgigantes.com/evenings.htm
The programme of events, gigs etc in the local area is updated at least once a week.  Further down the page in Looking Ahead are dates of local Fiestas and Carnivals.

15th August is Alcala Fireworks as well as other events going on in the village, if that happens to be the date you are here.  Hope you have a good holiday.

  • Parking is always a problem in Los Gigantes.  Just keep driving around and you will eventually find a space.  The roads further up behind the Tamara Apartments are sometimes quieter.

  • Lucky You!!!! Its a great place. Loads to do. A few of my favourites for the daytime..

Make sure you find your way to Arena beach. You can walk - it can take a good 40 minutes from Tamara, or hop on the bus, but well worth the effort either way.
Its a blue flag beach with great waves and facilities.  Ask locally about the walk, its along the coast via Puerto Santiago.

There is the harbour in LG which is great for people watching and also lots of boat trips to venture out on to see the pilot whales. Save your old bread to feed the fishes.

A trip to Masca is well worth it!!!  A world away from tourism, its beautiful.  There are local tours you can go on or hire a car.

A milliion other things to do. Have a fab time :D
