  • I think they are on the walkway between LG & Santiago on Crab Island overlooking the pathway down to the swimming pool in the rocks.
We have a friend with an apt there and it always seems popular.

  • Hola,

Confusingly there are two sets of Sunset Apartments !
One is, as stated, down near Crab Island and possibly falls within seb's parameters of being able to be mentioned on the los gigs website.

The second block, a large community building, is down in C/Antonio Gonzales Barrios in Puerto Santiago. Just down from Spanish Corner, go past the large hole in the road and then continue up hill with the Dragos del Sur on your left hand side. Approx 100 metres up you will find Sunset Apartments. So Janey....nowhere near as far as Varadero !
Nice pool (not heated) and close to all Puerto Santiago restaurants, bars and the plaza.

Also not too far a walk into Los Gigs by going around past the old fishing port - Puerto Pesquero - and on the footpath up past Mar Blanco and Barcelo Santiago, over the rock steps to Los Gigs, passing the other Sunset on the way. All the resort areas are within walking distance of one another even with a push chair or a piggy back (been there, done that !). Enjoy.

  • El Observador is quite right.  The photograph below shows the  Sunset Apartments in Puerto Santiago (near right). They are close to Lagos de Cesar. I had a quick look around last year. It is a modern, well maintained complex  in a quiet area with a good roof-top pool and large recreational area, ideal for children. As I recall, conveniently just over the road from the Transito mini-market.
