It's time to bring in the garden furniture and batton down the hatches.  Severe weather is expected from tomorrow until Tuesday. Strong winds and heavy rain.  Looks like I'm in for a few days off.

The severe weather made the news headlines in the UK this morning.

It was shocking to see the damage caused by the storms.

We will be out end of next week and hopefully things will have calmed down by then.

Are there any places around the Los Gigantes village that have been affected by storm damage?

There is no severe damage to Los gigantes or the surrounding areas.  We got off lightly and the torrential rain which was forcast for yesterday didn't happen here.

Many people are hosing down and moping up, give it a day or 2 and we'll be back to normal.

It's back to normal now but here's a picture of the new "barranco" at the end of San Juan beach!
