  • There are many apartments advertised on this site from single rooms to let to luxury villas. Click the following link.

  • I think Keithy was looking for more in the way of personal recommendations. I cant help, I'm having to take a chance myself..like most people.
I am not sure if making such recommendations are allowed in the forums anyway ?

  • most adverts show pictures of the interior (and usually balcony/view) of the apartment available to rent, choose the interior which looks like something you would like to rent.  apartment owners should not show pictures of any other apartment except their own, unless they state it is an 'example'.

look at the standard of furniture, cheap with plastic tables or well made, expensive furniture - then make your decision. also price will feature - if you pay very little, dont expect a lot!!

  • Hi Keithy, I was going to suggest that someone might use the private message system to make a recommendation, but on reflection you might just get recommendations from apartment owners promoting their own private apartments.

I know you are specifically looking at apartments but are you looking at private apartments or self catering apartments in an aparthotel. One advantage of booking aparthotel accommodation is that you can look on holiday accommodation websites (such as holidays-uncovered, or tripadvisor, or holidaywatchdog) for reviews made by people who have stayed there. For example if you do a Google search for ldblquote El Sombrero Los Gigantesdblquote  you will find a number of reviews which will give you some views about that particular complex. You could also ask on this message board for views about any particular complex you have in mind.

You may want have a look at the Travelrepublic website for  some of the aparthotels (and hotels) in Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago and Playa Arena.

  • Keithy.  There are so many options. Let us know in more detail what you are looking for.
eg.  Luxury villa with pool or a low cost bedsit. Hotel or self catering? How many people are in your group? Do you have kids?

  • I can recommend El Marques. This is a timeshare complex but you can give RCI a call (just make out you are a owner to get a cheaper rate) or call Wimpen. The complex is top class accommodation. Make sure you get an apartment that is not high up or you will have a ton of stairs to walk up and it's really knaccering and make sure you ask for an apartment facing the sea as the ground floor apartments at the back do not have a balcony.

  • Hi Keithy

As a "regular" visitor, I would highly recommend any of the Tamara apts, we have used 4 different ones and although they cost a little more, I would say they are omongst the best in LG. Send me a private mail and I'll return with some contact details if you wish.

Wherever in LG you stay you will have a wonderful holiday, enjoy!!!
