Unfortunately, our website is still unable to be accessed. This is a problem with the Server, not the actual website. We have been assured that it will be corrected shortly, until then, all bookings and enquiries can be made at the website and e mail address in the previous post above. Many thanks.

  • It has been pointed, by a couple of people, that e mails are not going through to us. This is due to the fact that HOTMAIL are currently not allowing messages to be sent to free e mail address via OUTLOOK EXPRESS. We do not know if this is a temporary or permanant thing, but are looking into it. Therefore if you have a Hotmail Account, you may have problems reaching us, if you use a different server, you should have no problem. If you do have a problem you can call us on

                                                         0034 922861006

Tell us you want to make an enquiry, give us your phone number and we will call you straight back, minimizing your expense.

    We are now open 0830am till 0830pm - 7 days a week

Watch out for our new website - currently under construction by losgigantes.com

Don't forget to ask for your losgigantes.com  10% Discount when making a booking with us.

    Happy Motoring.  ;D

  • I (and others) would be interested in knowing what your policy is on supplying warning triangles and spare bulbs (as required by Spanish law).  Please refer to the discussion under "Tenerife Prison"

  • With regard to the Queston asked by JUAN TANEMERA........

TYRES.....All our vehicles are rented with a serviceable spare tyre. The Jack and wheel nut brace are within the centre of the spare tyre, unless the Tyre is underneath the vehicle, in a basket, then the wheel brace is inside the boot area, so as the basket is able to be lowered with it.

TRIANGLES...... All the vehicles have 2 warning triangles in the boot.

EMERGENCY REFLECTIVE JACKETS........ All the vehicles have at least one, if not two reflective jackets.

BULBS....... This is a problem area. All the vehicles have their lights checked before rental, but bulbs are not provided, simply because the little presentation box of bulbs, which are not cheap, make a nice addition to a customers own car back in their native Country. To put it plainly, they kept disappearing. If a customer notices a bulb has failed, he can return with the car and it can be changed fairly rapidly. Another problem I have notices is that some of the bulbs, especially headlight bulbs, require several tools to remove internal trim and bolts and in some cases to remove the entire headlight assembly, just to change the bulb. This is sometimes even beyond us and I cannot imagine a customer trying. In these cases a mechanic we use is 2 minutes away and he does the work for us.

On a seperate note, when I heard one Company saying the refective jackets are the responsibility of the driver, I find this answer crazy. For a start, when you buy the vehicles new, we bought 12 Citroen vehicles last year, the garage give you a pack for the car boot, which includes 2 triangles and a reflective jacket, (We normally put another jacket in the drivers door as well) so I cannot understand why vehicles do not have them. Besides a reflective jacket costs 2 euros and in the past year, we have only had 2 go missing, 4 Euros a real drain on our finances !

Hope this answers your questions JUAN.

  • Thanks, Santiago,  for your positive response.  I am sure your reply (along with that from Record) will set a few minds at rest.  From what I have read in the past, the Spanish (and French) police are always happy to find a reason to impose on-the-spot fines for minor infringements of the law!  Pity I didn't receive a reply from Avis though!
