  • May is always quiet, if you run a business you start to wonder what are we doing wrong, where have all the people gone? Then June is even worse and as a resident you wonder ..night out..where shall we go?? then you go on holiday, off to the UK , and return in late July or August... ah !! business is go!! It is a dead time, late May and June, some of July. Nice if you want a quiet hol!!

  • I agree, all holiday detinations will be suffering. But my point was, May and June are always quiet in Los Gigantes with many restaurants and bars closed for staff holidays, with the credit crunch no doubt it is even quieter.

  • Some Holiday destinations suffer more than others.

Some Areas within those destinations suffer more than others.

I would put the LG area in this bracket...

Joey, i agree that a lot of locally owned restaurants may close in May and June for vacations, but i have never seen any bars which close for that period of time, it is definitely getting quieter there, full stop

  • I think what joey is implying in that first sentence is that if you get blown up on holiday it won't do you any good at all. Unless I've misread it?
    Sorry joey.

It'll pick up as we move towards the Summer.

Phew, what a scorcher!  over in the UK though this week.
