  • I just wondered if anyone has managed to sell a fully grown palm tree out from their garden, or knows anyone who has . I have a large canary island palm that I want removing and have been told that it could be sold on.

  • Try Manfred or Ursula at Manfred's Services, down from Little Italy.  They look after lots of apartments and gardens and may know of someone that needs a tree.  Or maybe on of the two garden centres on the road to Tamaimo, or the one at Aqua Dulce.

  • You will need a permit from the Ayuntamiento to transport the tree from one place to another. It is all to do with bugs that could be disturbed from the bark and spread disease during the transportation process. The garden centre should know about this but you will have to get the permit yourself, at a cost, from Santiago del Teide.
