  • In view of a comment on the message board about local news we need to find out how many of you are actually interested in the local news pages on this site.

  • I always download The Tenerife Sun every fortnight as it usually has quite a bit in it. Some stale regulars and the usual whingers but on the whole readable.

  • I'm one of those who voted for "once a week would be nice" ... sure, we can look at the Tenerife Sun but it's not the same ...

  • yes i agree its important especiaaly fot thyose of us who cant live there but like to keep in touch two weeks is to long i look at it daily :)

  • Well, Hello Dolly (sorry, I couldnquote t resist it).

    There are many websites which report up-to-date news, so I personally am not to concerned about the lack of news reports on this site. Why not permanently position this item at the top of the General Discussion  page and allow members themselves to report news stories they have just seen elsewhere? 

    For example-

    I have just read that Liverpool FC, the most successful club in British football history have just eliminated a Spanish club called Barcelona from the Champions  League competition.

  • That sort of news would really stir up a hornets nest.  I think we should keep to local news.
