  • Whilst staying in los gigantes two weeks ago we had a caller to the apartment who said he was a missionary . As we couldnt understand half of what he was saying we just said no thankyou and closed the door.Later that day near the square I saw the same man knocking on other doors.

We were a bit concerned and wondered if anyone else has come across this and whether it was bone fide or a con. The fellow appeared to be on his own.

  • My post was not meant to be trivial .

I was just concerned that the man MAY be a bogus caller and felt I should pass on the information.

After all we are supposed to be on the alert these days and  report anything that may seem out of the ordinary.

In the 12 years I have been coming to Gigantes I have never had an unknown caller before.

  • There were two religious pedlars in San Francisco on Friday asking if residents were Canarian. On being told people were not they buzzed off.
