We took a walk up to the Royal Sun this week to lay a metaphorical wreath and to remember better times. There was no sign of building work but as usual there were noises of human activity, presumably made by maintenance workers or cleaners (or maybe ghosts). I guess that the recently publicised sale is now on the back burner because of the international credit crisis.
Admittedly, the outside paintwork is looking a little shabby but this is superficial weather damage. When I pressed my camera lens against the windows, what surprised me was how clean and well maintained it was. It was as though it was still in daily use and the staff had just gone for lunch. Obviously the bank is taking good care of its investment.
