Help! Doctor required in LG

  • I need your help
I am staying in LG with my wife, 3 yr old & 6 yr old
Me & the 3 year old have woken up with a nasty stomach bug this morning.
I'm sure it's just a 24 hour thing but wanted to reach out in case we need a doctor
Can anyone recommend a local doctor please?
    Thanks in advance
    Dave

  • We always use Medical Consulting which is a 24 hour service in Playa la Arena.  You can call them on 922 867 121 and a doctor will come out to you and they are very quick to respond.  We have used them quite a few times and found them to be very reliable - you have to pay of course as it's a private service.

Alternatively if you are near the centre of the village you could visit Katherine Muller who's office is in the building opposite the Tourist Advice bureau.  You go down the right side of the building and her office is at the side behind the second hand shop.  Again, be prepared to pay about 40 Euros!

  • Thank you sooo much for the quick replies. Here's hoping we don't need to use the contacts

  • Yes, Kathryn Muller excellent doctor, very good with children too. Also you can go up to Puerto Santiago health centre which anyone will direct you to. Take a copy of your passport and a copy of your EHIC with you, as well as the originals and you will be seen.
