Hi Jesse, sorry to hear about the burglary, we must all be on out guard, as the recession bites deeper crime will get worse. You've got your work cut out there with Dingo Dogs. Phil continues to do a great job up there. I've just had a shuffle round and taken a sofa bed to them.
Dingo dogs, for those of you who don't know the story, is a dog sanctuary. The last time I visited there was 96 abandoned dogs all being cared for by Phil. They are always happy to receive any donations that will make dog shelters and repair fences, old beds, pallets, any type of wood. Old bedding and towels are desperately needed too.
Jesse you are welcome to use this forum to advertise any fund raising events they have and our Dive Centre pick up is available to transport any large donated items that need to be transported to the shelter.
Hi Dolly thanks for that and very much appreciated, i spent most of the day yesterday up at the sanctuary with Phil and Leigh, it is very hard work for them both but they do it because they enjoy it, they live very basically and i admire them for everything they do up there, i dont think i could survive like they do with no electricity or proper running water the dogs are well looked after. i will be posting details of any events that we can get organised. we have just had a sponsored walk which raised in excess of 1000 euros to buy dog food etc, Phil will not see any of this money as the organisers of the event are taking the money buying whatever is needed then handing everything over to Phil at Dingos, i would like to say a big thank you to Christine of Star Trek walks and her husband for doing a fantastic job of organising the walk , also the bar Tu Ricon in Alcala for allowing us to hold entertainment there after the walk, to Stevie d for performing his music for us also to immaterial again for performing and everyone who did the walk, plus everyone who sponsored the walkers,
the money raised was an excellent amount but this is an ongoing situation and will only touch the tip of the iceberg, any donations will be greatfully accepted whether its money, dog food, old blankets, plastic sheeting, wood for fencing or any item we can use to give the dogs a better life up there. if anyone on the forum knows of anyone that has an old generator for sale let me know and we will try to raise the money to buy it as i said earlier they have no electricity up there as their generator packed in, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the previous Vice president Andy for all the hard work he put in to Dingos dogs again much appreciated.
thanks to everyone on here for your kind comments all the best Jesse.
