  • Sir Stanley Matthews had a home in : Sansofe: the gated apartments with the rear side overlooking Crab Island and the rock pools.
He sadly died about 10 years ago and there was an article in the Tenerife papers. It appears that he helped the local boys football clubs.

  • Roy Race has an apartment in Gigansol and can sometimes be found in the square at Los G showing off his skills to the kids. The other week he decided to show off his tackle but got arrested!

  • Having said that, Finney did once switch to inside left in that match against Scotland when Wilf Manion broke his leg. And if he switched to inside right during another match on another occasion that would be all five England forward positions.

  • Congratulations Falstaff, sorry I cannot award you a prize. Of course he played for the club that taught David Beckham most of what he knows, Preston North End.

Hey, well said hernextdoor. I hope your comment about the wrong shaped ball indicated that you were a union fan. I'm a Sale fan myself.

  • Spot on tonycrewe.  I follow Tigers but then I also follow individual players.  Saying that there is nothing better than to watch a really good game regardless to who's playing.
