• I don't think there are any hairdressing services at the Art of Life. The place next door provides it (although it is Spanish-speaking, I believe).

I know of 2 very nice ladies who do an excellent service, either visiting your home or theirs (for at least 1 person).

Bellissima also do an excellent service, but normally there is a bit of a wait to get an appointment.

Reply by my email if you want the details of any of these services: tenerifetd@yahoo.co.uk

  • I have to disagree, I used Bellissima recently for hair, make-up and nails and was very disappointed in the quality of all three. Also for the price I would have expected a bit more. They are a nice bunch of girls but their ideas are a bit dated. I had acryllic nails done and they lasted about a week before peeling off and no nail oil was provided. Never had colour done there but I don't think I'll be back anyway. Sorry!  :(

  • When Iget the time(!) I go to Central in Calle Los Angeles in Santiago. The owner is billingual because she lived for 15 years in England, the assistants speak a little English and They are very good. Their prices are reasonable too.

  • You ladies !  What a lot of fuss and bother, eh ? No wonder you don't like to get dunked or bombed at the pool !!!

A daily rinse under the shower and a swift towel off works wonders and there is a trusty pair of clippers in the kitchen cupboard for that tried and tested Grade 4 look. Life is so much easier for blokes.

  • Life is somuch easier for blokes..agreed. Alot dont have any hair at all these days. Personally, to deal with my unruly mop I have this large pudding basin and a pair of scissors. To see me you would not think that there were two hairdressers in our family! Good job I am not vain. ;D

  • THERE WAS A GENUINE REASON FOR MY ENQUIRY - WHEN I COME OVER NEXT YEAR I MAY GO FREELANCE AND WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS 'ROOM' FOR ANOTHER BRITISH HAIRDRESSER.
