I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to wish you all the very best in your retirement to Los Gigantes.   Please keep us informed of how it goes because one day I hope it will be my turn to follow in your footsteps.     Have a great journey over to Tenerife this Friday and all the very best to you.

Thank you so much.  All our possessions are now on their way - on the high seas.  All I can say, is roll on Friday.  Of course,  we will keep posting to let people know how we are getting on and with anything useful we come across that may be of benefit to others.

We have been here two weeks tomorrow.  The day after we arrived, we were shown about 6 apartments and picked one right in the Marina.  Gail who does the letting of these apartments has been brilliant.  We moved in two days after viewing.  Gail has been most helpful in assisting us with where to buy things, who we need to contact for our NIE numbers etc.  The S1 people in Newcastle have also been good in sorting out this form for our medical needs.  We still haven't received our belongings yet though as Monday was a fiesta in Santa Cruz and customs were held up.  We now understand our belongings will be reunited with us early next week.  I can't think of anything negative to say about our move other than it was a bit windy our first few days here.  Everything has been easier and quicker than we had imagined.

We have been doing our shopping in the supermarket on Cardiac Hill who deliver it all for free within 30 minutes of paying.  Marvellous stuff.  Simple Simons is also good for UK products and not too expensive.  The bus service is brilliant.  Everything is wonderful here and I wish we had done it sooner.

Good to hear from you and thanks for the update.   In case you've got a beautiful sunset over to La Gomera to look forward to tonight - we, in London, have strong winds, rain, overcast grey skies plus it's gone chilly and cold - oh! and to add to the mix - I've just heard a rumble of thunder in the distance !  No wonder you don't miss all this.   Keep us informed as you go along as  it will be us one day I can assure you.     Take care.

So glad you are settling in so well!  Just back after two week holiday and must admit I found the evenings chill with the wind - which is unusual for this time of year.  Yes Transito delivery is excellent (better than well known uk supermarkets) but found a lot of empty shelves this time! Enjoy LG.
