I have lived here for almost 22 years now. Yes there are problems but no worse than anywhere else on Tenerife or indeed the whole of the Canary Islands. Many other places in the world are suffering from recession not just us. We have no hurricane or monsoon season, those of us living on the coast have no heating bills
There are few places in the whole world that can boast a better climate. There is alway something to do, always somewhere to go, its an absolutely fabulous place for a good social life - but it won't come knocking on your door you do have to make an effort, but it's there if you look.
There is no where in the world I would rather live and my kids and grandkids will back me up on that one. Whatever my mood - the sun is shining it is never cold and our view of the sea and cliffs certainly takes some beating.
This place certainly does have a lot going for it. Chatting to people here on holiday the comments as Dablar said "Can't wait to get back", "Sorry it all over too quick", "What a wonderful place to live" etc.
