Extended Rent a Car Rentals

  • As per many other thousand people, my friend is stranded in Tenerife due to the no fly policy. As he is staying longer he enquired about extending his rent a car at the airport and was given a price of almost twice what he had paid previously. There was no explanation, just a shrug of the shoulders, like thats the price, take it or walk back to your hotel. Obviously the companies have decided to rip people off that are in desperate need. Typical. Do they all do this, every company in every type of service when people are in need ?

  • RIP OFF SEEMS TO BE THE NAME OF THE GAME WHEN PEOPLE ARE IN TROUBLE.
I SEE THE FERRY CROSSING FROM ENGLAND TO FRANCE WHICH IS NORMALLY 69 POUNDS IS NOW 230 POUNDS.
PASSENGER NUMBERS HAVE INCREASED BY 500%, YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE COMPANIES WOULD BE HAPPY WITH THE EXTRA MONEY COMING IN, BUT NO, LETS TRIPLE THE PRICE AS WELL.
    COMPLETE RIP OFF MERCHANTS.

  • I just checked the two (Spanish) companies at the airport who I use regularly.  One quoted 10.80 euros per day, the other 13.50 euros per day for a 10 day rental, Citroen C2 or equivalent.  This is actually lower than usual.

  • Well they would be now, the crisis is all but over, I bet the Ferry prices are all but back to normal now as well. No point keeping high prices once the demand has fallen off !!!

The prices I quoted were when the crisis was on.
