  • Good afternoon everyone.

Would someone be kind enough to find out what the exchange rate for sterling cash is with the nice man next to the Leisure Centre.

    Many thanks in advance

  • Was there a couple of days ago and it was 1.36 to the pound. Although some of hotels are currently doing 1.30 !

  • Hi

Thanks for that.  It is about 1.33 here at the moment.  Will probably bring mostly sterling and give him some trade.

    Thanks for replying

  • He's always two or three cents more then you see in the daily newspaper and no commission on cash best in the village  I think his name is Jesus

  • Hello Everyone,

el obs and co readying themselves for an Xmas visit - as indeed many board contributors (grockles of course) appear to be doing !

Further to this thread, may I please just ask anyone walking by Jesus's Money Exchange Emporium to have a peek at the latest sterling exchange rate on offer ?
Rates at home hovering around 1.3455 euro to the 'a3 so there is not much in it. 'Nice man by the Leisure Centre' was exchanging at 1.43 to the 'a3 back in August -  but currency up and down like Tower Bridge !
Usually bring wads of euro(s) out but equally happy to bring sterling out to change.

I'm sure that if I sat and worked it out it'll only be a couple of quid either way and I ought not to be so miserly at this particular time of year ? But, who knows, the difference might be enough for a meal at El Meson ? (No, not really  :D !!)
