  • Now then Alex - it's strange you should say that cos earlier this year I went to see Elton John in concert in Shefield.

After the gig, I was fortunate enough to speak to him and ask him whether he intended visiting Los Gigantes anytime soon and Reg said that he had heard it was a nice place to be but couldn't make any promises 'cos he didn't like performing without his backing group and he thought that the space available outside Domingo's Bar wasn't quiet large enough
I wanted to be the Cincinnati Kid - but couldn't spell it

  • I thought the Los Gigantes Kid was just kidding about Elton and Los Gigantes. But who should appear at the Tajenaste but the man himself. I wouldnquote t have believed it if I hadnquote t seen it with my own eyes. I was talking to Sean Connery in the bar afterwards over a pint and he couldnquote t believe it either.

  • Well I was only going on what was said in the Tenerife Sun, surely as it was front page article it would have been researched????  Personally I couldn'b4t give a monkeys, I mean, OK, he is a good artist, but he is one jumped up little Sh*t....  I even heard that after he was 'b4supposedly'b4 playing in Sta. Cruz he was jetting straight off to Japan and ordered that everything he had touched, i.e towels, glasses etc etc, had to be destroyed!  It would be good however for tenerife to put itself on the market for this type of thing though, hopefully other parts of Tenerife would see some benefit in tourism.

  • JUST COPIED THIS FROM THE TENERIFE SUN SITE..... MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP.......

A CONTRACT was signed last Thursday for Elton John to perform his first ever big band concert in Spain endash  here in Tenerife.
As reported in The Tenerife Sun a couple of issues ago, the megastar is to lead a rush of big stars heading for Santa Cruz in a bid to put Tenerife on the world entertainment map.
He will be the first of several top international stars targeted by Santa Cruz City Council, including Sting, and Dire Straits.
The open-air performance on the esplanade in front of the harbourside Cabildo building has been scheduled for Saturday, November 17.
Elton John will be taking advantage of a window between the last of a series of his outrageously romantic Red Piano shows in Las Vegas on November 5 and a scheduled solo concert in Tokyo on November 20.
The tight schedule means the busy rock and pop icon will barely touch down in Tenerife, flying straight off after his two-hour concert in his private jet for Japan.

  • Itquote s official - the popular singer, composer and pianist Elton John will perform next January 24th 2008 in the south of Tenerife - Golf Costa Adeje.

It was announced through a press release from the promoters and through the rock legendquote s website. A week earlier he will perform in South Africa, then Tenerife and then the USA, accompanied by his own band. His website however does state a different venue, however our sources inform us that it is definitely taking place at Golf Costa Adeje.
