e-mail service with Telefonica

  • I have been using telefonica.net for internet access in LG via my Telefonica line and pay local rates for pay-as-you-go dial up service.  This is fine, although slow.  I would like to have a Telefonica e-mail address but have been unable to find how to obtain this. According to Telefonica's web site it is not available "free", but they don't say any more or how to set it up.  I know it's available but can anyone tell me how to set up an account on Outlook Express?

  • Hi Juan Tanemera

They normaly give you a free email address and free website hosting of 50 mb when you signup with them on ADSL (broadband).

I dont think you can get one without having ADSL

If you want an email address for your outlook express FREE we can give you one
    it can be "what-ever-you-want-here"@losgigantes.com

  • a far easier option is a gmail account.. no need for outlook or outlook express. All you need is a computer with a browser and you can access your email from anywhere... even from your mobile phone if you have a recent one. Works with MAC or PC ( I have both) and is free with a huge amount of memory.  Also works in virtually any language on earth. Spam is very efficiently filtered and being an American product it is so easy to use.

PM me if you wish an invite and I will most happily send you one.. it will take about 1 minute to register and your're up and away.

    best regards

  • Thanks Tolsti.  I have a g-mail account already and must admit I hadn't thought to use this.  I tend to use Outlook Express for e-mails because it stores old e-mails on the PC rather than the service provider's system, but I guess I could get used to this.

    Thanks again for your suggestion.

I agree with Tolsti, I use gmail but with outlook, if you look here

you'll find instructions how to do it,

that's outlook (much more user friendly and powerful) as opposed to outlook express

    good luck

  • Thanks for that.  I have now been able to set up my Gmail account to automatically forward all incoming e-mails to my Outlook Express Tiscali account, so now I can do everything I want to do.

Thanks to all for the advice.
