  • Now that New Pictures is closed down is there anywhere in the village you can hire DVD's from?

  • Dont know of anyone in Los Gigantes ? but Megatone have a very selection in el Varadero, in the row of shops below the Hotel.

  • Somebody told me there's a "hole-in-the-wall" machine in Alcala that provided DVD rentals.  Not sure exactly where but maybe someone else can advise.

  • Many thanks Juan Tanemera and NikkiGQ for your replies, I know both of these but just wondered if there was any closer in LG. Will back on Thursday after spending a great Summer in good old England, even if it did rain a bit!!

  • Theres a hole in the wall style one in Vigilia as well, just down the side road from Bar Central. Only problem is v limited English selection!

  • La Cochinillo - every dvd I have seen has a language selection - just choose English

  • I know Varadero is 5 mins away by car, but MEGATONE do have by far the best selection in the area. English owned and run, so all English soundtracks. With regard to the Spanish titled films, not all of them offer a change of language. I have bought several and soundtracks were locked in Spanish. Found it strange but have been told its not that un common ! Cheaper to produce with just the one !!! :o
