I took your advice and bought ten bottles of Baileys at Netto in Knightsbridge, went to Gatwick airport with them carefully wrapped and packed into the suitcases, having taken out ten kilos of clothes to avoid paying the excess weight charge.
Arrived late in Tenerife at 1am, standing outside, queuing for a taxi, I was freezing cold as I had removed my jacket and sweater to make room for the Baileys.
( I think I have caught a cold now !)
Having arrived back at Los Gigantes at 2.10am I didn't even have the prospect of a nice glass of cheap Baileys (as they had been confiscated at the checkout desk under the anti terrorist regulations.) I then decided to pop out for a Baileys in one of the local bars but by this time they had closed, on the way home I was savagely attacked by a marauding pack of dancing poodles, but at least I wasn't wearing my expensive jacket and sweater
This, I think was an unlucky start to my holiday but things will surely look up from here on in, now I?m just going to get my clog wounds and cold sorted by that nice lady doctor in Playa Arena.
